ACT NOW Against Political Violence in Zimbabwe

Women have always been at the forefront of the struggle for democracy and social justice in Zimbabwe and therefore they are specifically targeted by the regime’s violent campaigns against the democracy movement.

The international campaign ‘ACT NOW Against Political Violence’ has been initiated by the Zimbabwean organisation National Constitutional Assembly and the Zimbabwe Group in the Danish organisation Africa Contact to combat the state sponsored violence against democratic forces, in particular women.

The campaign aims at giving women a political voice without fear for the repercussions and demands equal participation of all Zimbabweans in the transition towards democracy.
